Our Story – How Rita’s Pizzas Began

Every great business starts with an idea, and Rita’s Pizzas was no different.

Back in July 2019, Rita’s Pizzas was nothing more than an idea and a passion to give it a go. With a card machine, a bank account, public liability insurance and a pizza van ready for its next adventure, that idea quickly became a reality.

Just two months later, in September 2019, Rita’s Pizzas was officially up and running!

But Why Rita’s Pizzas?

Well, the truth is, we couldn't think of a better name!

After searching for inspiration and coming up empty-handed, the answer was actually right in front of us. The van itself was already called Rita!

Before becoming part of our story, the van belonged to a business that had two trucks, affectionately named Marga and Rita. We bought Rita, and when it came to naming our new venture, it only seemed right to keep her name alive.

And just like that, Rita’s Pizzas was born!

What started as a simple idea in 2019 has grown into something we're incredibly proud of. And while a lot has changed since those early days, Rita is still at the heart of it all.

And at the heart of Rita is what makes it all possible - our traditional, stone-floored, wood-burning clay oven. It's where the magic happens, baking our artisan pizzas to perfection using fresh vegetables, the finest meats and quality ingredients. Every pizza is freshly prepared, cooked with care and served with the same passion that started our journey back in 2019.
